Launch of the annual study on ICT use in Morocco

ANRT launches its annual study on ICT use in Morocco. The study will be conducted in phases over a six-month period. A methodological approach is first developed to probe the perceptions, attitudes, and sociological behaviour of telecommunication and information technology users and to explain, through a qualitative study, the motivations and obstacles to use as well as expectations. The second phase includes a field survey of households to measure the access degree to and use of ICT in 2012.

An analysis on the status of ICT use by Moroccans and the impact of ICT policies will be done at the last phase. It will be based on a statistical and sociological approach as well as a benchmark showing Morocco’s position in both the region and worldwide. This section will also include recommendations to promote the national development of the sector.
