Autorisation stations embarquées navires & aéronefs

The National Agency of Telecommunications Regulation (ANRT) is the authority responsible for the licensing of radio stations.

Pursuant to Decision No 27/00 of March 1st, 2000 on procedures for monitoring and managing radio frequency spectrum, any radio installation on a ship or aircraft must be have a license, in accordance with the provisions of the Radio Regulations and the Convention of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

 

These stations operate on frequencies that are previously defined by the ITU Radio Regulations and transposed by the National Plan for Radio Frequencies [Plan National des Fréquences]. These frequencies are reserved for the maritime or aeronautical mobile service.

 

The license is issued following a request to the ANRT from the owner of the ship or aircraft.

The application may be sent by mail to autorisation@anrt.ma

Elements of the application file must include:

  • The form (original or copy) in the ANRT template duly filled out, signed and sealed.

  • A copy of the ship or aircraft's owner's national ID card.

  • Depending on the case, a copy (front and back) of the nationality of the ship or aircraft's registration certificate.

  • In case the vessel or aircraft is owned by a corporation, also attach a copy of the commercial register.

  • For aircrafts, a copy of the Directorate of Civil Aviation's (DCA) favorable opinion or a copy of the aircraft's certificate of airworthiness.

In case of ownership change:

  • Copy of the sales contract or of the ship or aircraft's new nationality, or of the registration certificate bearing the identity of the new owner.

  • The form (original or copy) in the ANRT template duly filled out, signed and sealed.

  • A copy of the ship or aircraft's owner's national ID card.

  • In case the vessel or aircraft is owned by a corporation, also attach a copy of the commercial register. 

In case of a change in the configuration of radio equipment on board the vessel or aircraft:

  • The form (original or copy) in the ANRT template, duly filled out, signed and stamped and listing all radio equipment that has been modified, added or deleted, as appropriate.

In case of a termination or a temporary suspension of the activity:

  • A written request for termination by the owner or a document issued by the Supervisory Authority indicating, as appropriate, the date of ship's destruction or inactivity or the date of the aircraft's permanent or temporary flight cessation.

  • Form to operate radio station installed on a ship;
  • Form to operate radio station installed on an aircraft.
