Within the frame of the establishment of the central database of number portability (BDCPN), it was proceeded, on December 20th, 2018 in the headquarters of the ANRT, the signature of the contract of its implementation in the presence of the three global operators (Itissalat Al-Maghrib, Médi Telecom and Wana Corporate) as well as the SIRGAD-MEDIAFON UAB-MEDIAFON DATAPRO Group, which was retained, following an international consultation launched in May 2018 for the realization and the exploitation of this database.

The establishment of the BDCPN is foreseen by the Notes of general guidelines for the further development of the telecommunication sector by 2018 and the Decision ANRT/DG/N°04/15 of 8 October 2015 on the terms and conditions of implementation for the implementation of number portability. It makes it possible to thin more the portability of fixed and mobile numbers. Thus, by the end of 2019, the number portability exchanges would be fully automated and would give the consumer the benefits of a digitized process.
